Greater 288 Partnership hosts METRO's John Sedlak at August luncheon
July 30, 2011 - Residents and business owners in Brazoria County and southern Harris County will have the unique opportunity to hear from the Executive Vice President and Director of Strategic Partnering of METRO when John M. Sedlak will address the Greater 288 Partnership at their upcoming quarterly luncheon on Wednesday, August 3.
"Once again we are honored to have another top-notch speaker who has taken time from his busy schedule to come address our group," remarks Greater 288 Partnership co-founder Kevin Cole. "Our partners who attend will get to hear firsthand from the top management of METRO as John Sedlak comes to share his vision and plans for working with the Partnership. I continue to be humbled by the validation the Partnership receives with the participation of such high-profile players such as Mr. Sedlak. The Greater 288 Partnership is all about regional teamwork in planning and development of the 288 corridor, and his presence with us at our August luncheon is greatly appreciated."
Since joining METRO in 1983, John has served as Assistant General Manager of Planning & Development, Vice President of Planning, Engineering & Construction, and as Executive Vice President. He has been responsible for the development of METRO’s Capital Program, including METRO’s first rail line.
The luncheon will begin at Noon on August 3 at the Hilton Garden Inn and Conference Center on Shadow Creek Parkway in Pearland, with a networking session starting at 11:30 a.m.
Greater 288 Partnership Executive Director Gaylynn Naiser has been busy working out the details of the luncheon program. "With another noteworthy speaker like Mr. Sedlak, we are encouraging everyone to make their reservations early since space is limited," reports Naiser.
